Religion and Google Sky - what's your take?

I just downloaded google sky, the scope of the universe is amazing. It seems pretty clear to me that religions on earth which assert that humans are unique in the universe, perhaps even it's primary purpose are primative vestigages of ancient mythology. If you practice a religion, and have perused google sky, I'd like to hear your reconcilliation of the vastness of creation with your religious beliefs.

    it's a miracle!!

just kidding! i don't practice any religion and i'm an atheist, and the vastness of the universe just gives me another reason to disbelieve the religions, most of them talk like that the part of the world(middle-east, india, china or wherever the religion started) is the universe, let alone the whooole space!! people just want answers and try to answer them by the knowledge they have, so we should extend our perspective and frankly, it's time to move on from imaginary friends and fairy tails.

i'm agnostic myself, yet i've got continuously puzzled how human beings can start to locate such a picture because of the fact the Christian God in the 1st place. The Bible by no skill mentions God inhabiting any fleshly physique, (till you count variety Jesus) yet even then Jesus is suggested as the son of God, now not God. Xing: incredibly many faiths, jointly with Hinduism, has photos of it quite is gods. seek for Shiva or Ganesha and you will see that this faith has actual manifestations.

Funny I did the same thing. If you just take two connect stars of the big dipper and zoom in you, you see millions of stars and galaxies. I think it is mind blowing. What would be more mind blowing is if all this was just for us to glorify a God.

I think the truth of creation or whatever is that it's about a lot more than a couple tribes of people on one area of one planet a couple thousand years ago.

God made everything for us because we're super special and he loves us all and wants to be with us.

Pretty damning, when you put things in perspective.
