ok, what happened to the Rangers Wednesday night?

I'm no expert on baseball, so help me out. How does a last place team suddenly start hitting dingers like that? It is just chance? Some kind of hypnosis? What happened?

    Young team.

    Fresh faces.

    On the road.

No chance of making the playoffs.

As much as I love my Rangers, I think they just had a *great night* AND the Orioles equally had a *horrible night.*

    What a combo.

The game was played at the orioles ball park, at Camden Yards.

Many would say this is a hitter's park, which would contribute to the home runs. Also, Baltimore is a pretty weak team but mostly, this is pure luck. This hasnt happened in 110 years!

All luck but it's more of a football score. 30 to 3.

The weird thing is, the Rangers were shut out 5 of the 9 innings.... insane!

Anyone who has ever played baseball can tell you that one day the left field fence looks like it's in another state and the very next day, same place, it looks like it's right over the 3rd baseman's shoulder. Some days the best hitting beats the best pitching, and vice versa. The reason for the long schedule it to adjust for the fact that in baseball, unlike any other sport, one day doesn't really tell you a thing. A-Rod will strike out 4 times and Cano will hit 3 homers and you'd think he was the star. After 162 games, you know.

The Orioles have a struggeling inconsistant bullpen in general. Take the closer out of the mix (Chris Ray) now everyone is scampering out of their given roles, and that is creating a snowball effect, and it's not a good one.

I think the Rangers got a bit lucky in scoring 30 runs. As frusterating as it has been to watch the bullpen get hammered like that, I do not think the bullpen is that BAD on a consistant basis.

It comes down to the Rangers hitting unbelievably and the Orioles not pitching effectively.

Orioles suck and the Rangers got in a groove and kept on hitting. The way Baltimore was pitching, they should be competing in the Little League World Series!

great conditions... they (rangers) have a lot of good kids now... and some power hitters too... and the o's can't pitch, too many walks.... texas stranded 19 runners... that could have been much worse!
