when my little one kicks ( and it's always worst when I am falling asleep, I think she knows ;) I hold my stomach (as if I was holding her) and she will kick for a little bit but it really does seem to calm her down. Try it, that is what has been working for me.
congratulations and good luck with the delivery.

With both of my pregnancies it seemed to me that any time I wanted to sit and rest or go to sleep, that is when the worst of it would start. I think that, during the day, when we are active, it keeps the baby in a rocking motion. There are sounds around us and we are talking to people. Then, we turn off the TV and go to bed and lay still, and it is quiet. That is what wakes the baby up!
If you could lounge in a rocking chair that would continue to rock you all night, and listen to the TV playing all night while you slept, that little stinker would probably sleep just fine!
Happy expectations!!

I'm not sure if this will help the kicks but I get horrible back pain and my doctor told me Tylenol PM will help me sleep. I have tried a warm bath and I take two Tylenol PM and I sleep pretty well. Good luck!

I don't really know how to stop the kicking but drinking tea probably isn't helping unless it's decaf as normal tea contains caffeine which is probably making bubs kick more than ever!
Good luck, hope you get some sleep soon

I am 34 weeks pregnant with a girl and uhhhh I have the same problemo, I just let her kick me because there isnt anything that I can do to make her stop. This just means that she is very healthy so be happy.

Kick, kick, kick! Don't forget these 3 little cute words when you start teaching her how to swim. "KICK KICK KICK!"
Anyways, Not everything has a made-up solutions. Just be patient with her - she will be your bestfriend when she arrive.
Let her know by whispering to her (now) if she could eliminate some of her kickings because mom hurts sometimes. and humor her with a "if she really wants to kick a lot , you will enroll her in a Taekwondo class if she want."
Good luck and congratulations to your new addition.

Rub the belly and walk around. When you walk around, it gives the same rocking feeling that a rocking chair/swing would give. When you try to sleep, the baby is not being soothed or stimulated so she feels the need to kick.

my son wakes me up all the time with kicking.. i haven't figured out how to stop it lol! i don't think you can, maybe if you get up and move around some, the rocking motion of movement is said to sooth and put the baby to sleep, but usually i am so tired in the middle of the night i just let him go on kicking.. 34wks!

enjoy it while you can i miss that feeling
try drinking warm milk and listening to soft music
while in bed try lightly pressing your tummy up against your significant other so that the pressure is transferred to them. You will still feel it but it wont be so distracting because you all ready have the pressure on the outside where most of the nerve endings are

have you tried propping your legs up under about 3 to 4 pillows that use to help me and try to stay away from the spicy food and if you wait to sleep at least 3 hours after you eat the baby doesn't move as much
