That depends were you are. I guess US and British Embassy require the same things. So here goes for the British way anyway. (3 weeks is the maximum they let a Thai National come for the first time). You need all of these things. Last 3 months wage slips, A plan of your house or where they will be Staying, A bank statement with at least £3000 in it. Plenty of photos to prove you know each other and have known each other for a while. I don't know how long you need to have known them for though. I was also asked for Phone bills to prove I had kept in regular contact also. Then its a trip to the Embassy, fill the forms, pay your fees and wait a long time then have an interview. After all that hopefully they will issue a visa.

There are many companies will do all this for you and take you to the Embassy. Though they charge alot.

Once one visa has been issued its easier to get the next one. They will have to visit you Twice before they are allowed to come for 6 months.

Though if you are going to pay out all this money for a woman I guess by that time you will probably be married

The US embassy requires an interview. The Thai person has to show they have a job, income (bank account where money moves in and out over months not an account with a lot of money in it) and ties (house, family, business) to insure they will return at the end of their visit. The State dept or homeland security gets to decide for how long.

The visa application costs about $100 which you pay at the Post Office and then you must pay to get an interview either $12 on the web or $20 by phone. It takes about 30 days to get an interview (I think thats to keep farang from attending with their friends).

At the interview they want to find a reason to deny so if a girl goes in shorts or a tank top forget it she needs to dress like a business person. The interviewer if s/he is American may not speak Thai so well and will use this to deny.

My friend was asked about her medical condition and she said she was taking yaa (pills) for Hep B and they turned it into Yaa Maa (meth). So she should speak english or have someone with her who does. The Embassy site below has the information you need.

wherever here is - it is probably difficult if you have to ask - however, note that most likely the person will have to qualify on their own merits - - You cannot give a valid assurance that another person will not become an illegal immigrant - check the rules for your country at your embassy - or re-ask the question here - - good luck -

Contact a company called easy visa in Pattaya. A man called Paul King is the owner and he can perform miracles :-)
