What can I do with cream of celery soup?

I had some in my cupboard (who knows why...it must have been on sale so I bought some, although I've never in my life used it), and accidentally opened it today thinking it was cream of chicken soup. So now that it's open (I covered it and put it in the fridge for now), what can I make with it?

I use the soup for a casserole dish. I combine that with a can of cream of chicken soup, rice, and chicken. It's tasty.

Cream of anything soup is basically the same, but with different ingredients, whether that's chicken, mushroom, celery, asparagus, etc. Cream soups have some milk or cream added, sometimes along with a thickener, that results in the thick, creamy texture. If the reason you don't like cream of chicken soup is the texture, you're not going to like any other kind of cream soup, either.

It's a good base. In the old days, tomato soup, mushroom soup, and cream of celery soup was used in many recipes. Campbell's soup recipes were used a lot http://www.campbellkitchen.com/RecipeSearch.aspx?s...

Use it as a gravy or a sauce: Add 1/2 part milk and pour over tray of stuffed bell peppers and bake.

As a soup: You can add some diced carrots, squash, bell peppers, leeks, cauliflower, broccoli, potatoes and make it a meal.

Well of course you could just heat and eat it, but I'm sure you've already thought of that! lol! Cream of Celery soup is used a lot in casseroles,...think chicken and veggies and potatoes (or rice.) Take some chicken breasts, diced potatoes, onions and some salt and pepper...add carrots and celery too if you like...then add the soup, a bit of water or milk and bake! Super easy and the soup adds a nice flavor to the mix!

GLAD YOU ASKED!!!! I found that cream of celery soup works great in Shepard's Pie (HB meat/mashed potatoes/cheese). Just brown your HB Meat with little onion and salt & pepper. Add the cream of celery soup to the meat to give it a thick consistency. (This keeps it moist and keeps the meet together). Then layer with mashed potatoes (homemade's the best, but potato buds will work). Top if off with some Cheddar Cheese (My family likes the sliced Kraft cheese the best, but any will do). Pop it in the oven the cheese is bubbly and you've got yourself a great dish!

Why don't you make a dish out of it!

    Here's what I'd do.

First, go out and buy yourself some mushrooms, corn, broccoli, and potatoes.

Boil the potatoes till they're over half done - but not quite as soft as boiled.

    Boil the broccoli.

    Cut and clean mushrooms

Now make a thick paste of the soup. )Just add little water - so it's THICK)

Put all the veggies in it in a baking dish.

Top with the cheese of your choice.

    Bake and enjoy!!

Serve hot. To add flavor - use tabasco or ketchup, or anything else! Be creative.

    Good luck.
