can i put a charge on a extra battery by using the 12 volt Accessary plug . on my 07 ford PU.?

    You need a special accessory they sell for that to limit the current.

    If the battery is in a discharged state it will likely blow the fuse for the auxiliary plug because of excessive amp draw. Your alternator may put out as much as 100 amps. If the battery is discharged it will try to get 100 amps per hour (so to speak). If you will look you will see that the wire from the alternator is nearly as large as battery cable compared to the 14 or 16 gage wire for the auxiliary plug. Don't forget to ground the negative post on the extra battery.

    in reality yes you can cause you can actually jump start a car that way
