If Satan is powerful and smart, why doesn't he go back in time to avoid getting kicked out of heaven?

He is not that powerful. He is still bound by God in a sense. Read Job 1 and Luke 22:31. He has to ask for permission to attack the "saints." And he can't control time nor go back in time.

2 reasons:

1. Satan is not omnipotent, having the power to do anything he wishes. Therefore, Satan can't turn back the clock, par se.

2. Satan is an enemy of God. The reason he was kicked out of heaven was because he tried to become higher than God and started a rebellion.

Satan doesn't have the power and would not want to go back to heaven.

The word of God says : " Greater is He that is within you than he that is in the world ". In other words, there is a limit to what God will allow satan to do, & there is NO WAY satan is getting into heaven , ever again.

Apparently Lucifer can go back to Heaven every time there's a gathering of the High Angels. See the Book of Job.

(Personally, I think the Book of Job is a work of fiction, and doesn't belong in the Bible at all).

He is still in Heaven.

Contrary to popular belief..Satan has yet to be kicked out of Heaven..

Rev..12:7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,

Since Biblicly Hell is just a grave and satan is not here on earth..(yet)..then he is still in Heaven.

in the next life there is only eternity. what makes you so sure that time exists there?

Maybe god is a time machine.

He already made his choice.
