Have you tried applying for a job abroad? There are many corporations willing to hire professionals from other countries with education and experience. For example, in the UAE Abu Dabhi, a large construction project is underway to build a resort Armani Hotel. Perhaps if you applied for something similar you and your family could be accomodated overseas. I really think this is the only option for you is to seek employment internationally. You and your wife will have to apply for a work visa once you have found an employer willing to hire you. It may take some time though.
