If you had the finances and could get accepted where would you go VANDERBILT or STANFORD LAW SCHOOLS?

I have been really successful in the energy business over the last 7 years. My company sold out and I took a package. Then I successfully invested in some natural gas wells and they hit big with long term reserves. I have been thinking lately about law school or an Executive M.B.A.. I think that you can never have to much education and it couldn't hurt to get another degree. I was very highly stressed as a young Vice President at a Fortune 100 company at 30 years old and when we finally sold out when I was 34 last year I was really ready for a vacation. Since then I have done some relaxing traveling and am ready for a new challenge. I would really appreciate some advice from someone who may have a good word of advice.

Stanford has the better business law program, but other factors should be considered as well.

For instance it would probably be far less expensive to live in Nashville, TN than it would to live in or around Palo Alto, CA. Unless you are a genius with a photographic memory, Law school does not leave much time for a job so the cost of living is an important thing to consider.

I'd go for a Harvard MBA if you can get in.

That's where my brother-in-law got his MBA and he was making about 10 mil a year before he retired.
