This really great Union job asked me for a scond interview today, do you think they will drug test me?

Generally speaking they do not pull out a urine cup at the interview site.

Drug screening must be done by a certified technician usually in a certified lab.

What will more than likely happen is that they will schedule your drug screen and pre-employment physical (if any) at the end of your interview. Your schedule will be consulted and if you think you need a couple days, just say you have appointments and tell them the earliest you can make it.

Savvy interviewers know that this is a stall technique because you are afraid that you will not pass.

The only possible reason you could be asking this is because you are afraid you will not pass the test. I would walk into the interview planning to take it, but I doubt it would happen right there.

And btw, if they do not send your urine off to a lab, the instant strip tests are very hard to fool. And those drinks you buy are a waste of money, guarantee or not.

Just read your additional info. Buddy you have wasted $150 on your products. Nothing will help you if they hair test, your only hope would be to come clean and tell them, but you won't be offered the job. If it is a pee in a cup test you have 2 options that may, or may not, work.

1. Start drinking water now, lots and lots and lots of water. You want to drink water and pee until your urine is crystal clear. Do this right up until the time you walk in the door, and whatever you do, do NOT give them your first urine of the day, it has the most concentrated levels of everything! (that is why pregnancy tests recommend the first urine!) About an hour and a half before going in take a multivitamin or b vitamin, it will turn your urine yellow again as no one will accept clear urine, they know your are diluting. The final thing I have done is to pop 3 or 4 rolaids about 1/2 hour before peeing in the cup.

The other thing that used to work (but I don't know if the labs have figured out how to test for it yet, it has been 5 years since I last had to take a drug test) is a product called Nu-Klear. You pour it into your urine sample. It worked for me and they offer overnight delivery.

But the best way to pass is to quit, that is what I did!

This varies by company. Some will drug test you on your first day on the job when you do your paper work and others prior to offering you a job. Sometimes it depends on how quick they get back results. The question is are you bothered by the drug test?

If they want to hire you they will send you for a drug test after they have hired you. They have 90 days where they can let you go without cause! Most decent jobs drug test these days, their insurance carriers demand it.

Someone (a nurse) will stand in the room and watch you fill their test jar. If they want a hair they will pull one out.......The testing people are not stupid they know every trick in the book.

If you want a good job then maybe you should stop using drugs and not worry about getting tested. Ya think!?

If you want a job quit doing drugs. I hope they do drug test you on the second interview.
