I'm planning my sons 1st birthday party. I need help on ideas that goes around his theme: Prince.?

Its going to be at the park. The theme is Prince, cause thats what his name means. So I want to do something like royalty, not too much for a 1 year old, but not borind either. Again its going to be outside at a park. So far all I have is the supplies thanx to birthdayexpress.com and the moon bounce, but other than that what should I do to make it spectacular??

Thanx for all suggestions in advance.

This is assuming that the other children are over 1.

You might want to buy those Styrofoam crowns and have each decorate their own crown. Instead of party hats.

Play Games like hot potato but pass around a stuffed frog (prince). Get some "gold" coins and put stickers on like three of them and have it be like a scavenger hunt spread them out on the grass whoever finds the most coins or whoever finds the coins with the stickers wins a prize, gets to be the prince's helper.

If most of them are 1 they really wont need all that hype, but you might want to try a pinata. There is a certain type that does not need to be hit with a stick, but has ribbons hanging on the bottom everyone holds a ribbon and pulls on it at the same time then all the candy drops!

If the other kids are also 1, they aren't going to have a clue about the pinata:) ... and that will entertain the older ones for about 10 min...... why not hire a magician? Maybe he could dress as a court jester, for the Prince theme..... You might do an appetizer tray for the adults: devilled eggs, canapes, mini quiche, crab dip & crackers

Play: When Doves Cry and Little Red Corvette loudly. Have everyone wear purple and design their own symbol, which will now be their names.

At the park, have each child "discover" a new singer, the younger, the better.

Huh? Oh. Not THAT prince. Er, carry on.

It would be cute since he will be turning 1, to have a frog prince theme, with a cute little green frog wearing a crown and that type of decorations...just a thought.

I think having a pinata would be awesome. Just give each of the kids little paper or plastic bags to colllect the candy in. Also have them face paint themselves would be kind of awesome. Oh and make them decorate their own cupcakes and there could be chances for seconds. Also have them play freeze tag and hide-n-seek but you'd have to give them boundaries.

He's only going to be 1 and he's much to young to understand all of this 'party' stuff. Just invite family and have cake - the simpiler the better.

I was going to make suggestions, but I can't beat Dalice.
