Should members of this community have to ask a regular question?

I mean as a member do you have the responsibility to ask one question a week, month of 6 months, to remain a contributor?

No, I think there is enough people asking and answering questions without forcing people to do it. I enjoy answering questions rather than asking and it would put me off if I was forces to ask. I only ask if I dont know something I need to know - which isn't once a week as Im so clever (only joking!!!).

Given that this is the first question you have asked in R&S in two months, I'd say "no".

Now "Top Contributor" status, well that's another story.

Edit: Given that the thumbs down fairy found something objectionable in what I originally wrote, likely the first sentence, I suggest that whoever did give me the thumbs down check "barbarian's" questions pool and rethink their button-pushing.

I was just "Accosted" yesterday by Y/A & asked to participate in their "Survey" where I was allowed to "Speak Out" & this was one of my "Gripes" in as much as there is "No Clear Delineation" of what is required for people to "Attain" certain "Honors / Status" and that Y/A "Never Responds' to these "Inquiries" as well. Probable just a "Spit in the Wind Exercise" on my part but who knows??? John

Sure, more people asking questions might lend some variety to the usual garbage-questions that keeps getting regurgitated by the same individuals here day-in and day-out... :-)

I think you should have to ask questions to be a "Top Contributor".

I don't ask many questions, because I don't have many questions to ask.

I have seen a drop in the amount of questions being asked though..

I am saving up all my questions until I get to level 7,then watch out!

Only if the mood strikes them.

We've got enough Yahoo-Nazis as it is, without having to throw on more arbitrary rules.

    No

I don't think you should have to ask or answer questions. If someone wants to just come and read other people's stuff, that's just fine.
