Do I need to get a lawyer?

Yesterday I was in a car accident, because I had move aboard I had in the past made arrangement with the insurance comp to get money directly form my account when my insurance expired this at the begining of the year I had my son drop a check to have it renewed unknow to me that he had pay 6 months and they had stop picking money directly form the account the insurance  so the insurance was appired by the end of june and I only know testerday during the acciddent
since the ambulance take me to the hospital I did not know what happen until while in the emergancey room the other driver call my cell to tell me taht she just find out that I have no insurance and since she is also unansyre I need to pay her car up  whe I ask how did she get my # she told me the police had givng it to her 
what I would like to know is does the police have the right to give her my # and since she is the une who hit me (I was turning and she come from nowhere she was speeding she hit the backof my car) bu

I think that it is probably allowable for the police to give the other person your number. However, if she hit you in the rear, then she is almost automatically at fault. 

ALSO, she is telling you that you have to fix her car, but she does not have insurance either...so you should probably fix your own cars, or she should have to fix them both because she is at fault. If you are liable for her repairs, then would that not make her liable for yours? 

You might wind up in traffic court with this one, but you should not need a lawyer. If you feel more comfortable with one, then call a law office and talk to their legal aid about it. They can give you a good idea of the laws in whatever state the accident was in, and what their laws are like in such a matter as this.
