I want to get a hybrid car but I don't know much about them. If you have a hybrid, please tell me about it.
In what ways is it better or worse than a non-hybrid. What special features does it have that I might want to know about. Thanks

At this point there's really no reason to choose a regular car over a hybrid. There aren't really any worse features as compared to a non-hybrid. The only thing is that hybrids have a higher initial cost, but they also make up for that in gas savings in about 5 years. So if you've got a 5 year loan to pay off the car, your higher monthly payment will be offset by gas savings, and then after about 5 years you'll just be saving money.
Some advantages are of course fuel efficiency and being environmentally friendly. The Prius was recently found to be the greenest car on the planet

The Prius also has a dashboard computer which is super cool. It also has tons of room due to the hatchback design. I can fit 2 bicycles inside my Prius with the back seats down.
Personally I'd suggest buying a Prius. You won't regret it.

The advantage is that the gasoline engine can then be quite small, since power is obtained from not one but two sources. When you consider that at highway speeds the average car requires only 20 horsepower to keep it running, a large gasoline engine makes little sense except for pulling heavy loads.
Driving a hybrid is like any other car except for one thing. When the car is stopped for more than a few seconds, the gasoline engine is shut down automatically. This can be a little eerie at first, as you find yourself sitting in silence. But step on the accelerator and the electric motor gets the car underway until the gas engine cuts in. There is no starter in the conventional sense since one isn't needed.
If you replace the batteries after the warranty expires, it will most likely cost several thousand dollars. Toyota claims prices will drop as hybrids become more popular; battery packs currently run around $4900.
However the pack contains 38 modules that can be replaced individually for $138.00 each. Honda's Insight and Civic hybrids have an 8-yr./80,000-mi. warranty on most of the powertrain, including batteries, and a three-year/36,000-mile warranty on the rest of the car.
The Prius has an 8-yr./100,000-mi. warranty on the battery and hybrid systems, plus a three-year/36,000-mile warranty on everything else. The electric motors and batteries don't require maintenance over the life of the vehicle.
Lastly if you buy a hybrid vehicle you will be married to the dealer for life because you will not be able to work on them yourself.

I don't personally own a hybrid but I work at a Toyota dealership where we sell the Highlander and Prius hybrids.
The hybrid vehicle contains both a battery and a gasoline engine. The battery is charged by the motion of the wheels, so there is nothing that you have to "recharge" or "plug in". The hybrids are best for economy and low emissions, which is both better for the enviroment and your wallet. With responsible driving habits, you can obtain up to 60 miles per gallon with a hybrid. The vehicles are surprisingly quiet, my co-workers can actually "sneak up on me" when I am out on the lot, because you can't hear the engine running until it is right next to you. In most states you can obtain a tax break when you purchase a hybrid vehicle.
The pitfalls of a hybrid is lack of performance (these aren't drag-racing sports cars, I wouldn't suggest using a hybrid as a get-away car for a bank robbery), and the replacement parts tend to be higher in cost and harder to find (only available at the dealer).

I dont have a hybrid yet, but my friends who has one says that it does save gas. Most hybrids (except the Toyota Prius) doesnt have anything special than the non-hybrid version besides the fact that the hybrid uses less gas and has a battery + an engine.
