Why UK's car/vehicle are right hand drive?Who discovered that idea?why they are different from other countries

I have heard it was the Popes fault many Years ago. In the time when there were no Rules of the Road in Olden Times The Pope of the Day Decreed that it would be a good Idea for People to drive on the Right hand side of the Road and thus have Left Hand Drive. Protestant England were up in Arms at this, at a Pope telling them what to do ,so naturally they went there own way and brought in Right Hand Drive. So most Countries that were under British Domination became Right Hand Drive. This includes Ireland, Australia,Former British Colonies in Africa, New Zealand, and of course Britain itself. I suppose some other Countries followed Suit. So you can blame the Protestants and The Catholics for not agreeing with each other in the bad Old Days.

Several countries still operate their traffic with right hand drive vehicles. Like Japan, some South Pacific Islands, and far Eastern countries like Signapore where the British have spent many years with their military. Sweden used to be a country with right hand drive, but they changed over to left hand drive in the 1960s. Street cars, busses, trucks and the entire population had to be converted to left hand drive traffic. When the automobile was first invented in the U.S. the cars were designed with the driver up front and in the middle.

Why does Britain pay for the peoples' health care and the US doesnt? Why does Switzerland allow prostitution and Us doesnt. It is called " different strokes for different folks" If we were all the same, this sure would be a boring place to live, dont you think?

well in from ireland and we also have right hand drive cars ere and i so would not be able to drive a left hand drive. A friend of mine bought a porshe thats a left hand drive and when i tried to drive it, i almost lost control of the car. sooo not funny!!!!
