Is it okay if I drop my wife off at the hospital to have our baby while I go home?
I've heard that it's going to take hours for her to have the baby at the hospital and I don't want to wait that long. Would it be okay if I dropped her off at the hospital and just went home until she and the newborn are ready? I want to play World of Warcraft when I get home and then I'll pick up my wife and see our newborn.

Nice Question !!!!! I personally do not think it is such a smart idea !!! My advice is to get a laptop , install world of warcraft and sit next to your wife and play all you want !!!!! However shield it away from your wife !!!!! B"coz your wife will be in pain and you will be having fun playing world of warcraft !!!!!! And i don't think your wife will approve of that !!!!

Thats a very big NO if you want to stay married. This would never be okay unless you had another child that no-one else could care for.
Please look into help for your video game addiction and know that if you are a good father your play will be very limited from the time your wife goes into labor until your newborn is on a good sleep schedule (about 3 months). The game will be there when you can play again.
FYI: Some hospitals have WIFI - my husband stayed with me all three days and still managed to play a little FFXI while I and our babies napped.

First, are you serious?! Second, have you talked with your wife about this? Third, your wife is giving you the gift of a lifetime, the birth of your child, and you don't want to be there? Maybe, you shouldn't be there because it's obvious that you do not really care what happens to your wife and child. And you probably will not be a very good support person for your wife during this wonderful experience, since all you want to do is play video games. Shame on you.

ok you are lame! she`s having your baby and you want to go play video games? you should be their right by her side holding her hand and supporting her, not being a jerk and thinking about yourself. how would you feel if you were in her position? how can you live with yourself after asking that question? it`s your kid too! don`t you want to be their to witness the miracule of your child being born? give her some support she`s going to be all alone going thru a difficult time and you want to go play a video game what are you 12? show some class dude

You've got to be the biggest doofus on the planet. NO it is not okay for you to go home while your wife, whom you love, goes through the labor and delivery process by herself! You are callous and insensitive to even ask such a moronic question.

Sounds like you have a lot in common with that couple in Nevada. Why don't you just give her child support and let her raise the baby safely.

Oh my gosh! You are so not ready to have a newborn!
What are you thinking!
Your wife needs you!
It's your fault you got her into this mess!
So atleast help her!

Better yet, just call a taxicab for her and make sure she has enuf change for the pay-phone down the hall from the delivery room to let you know what she had.
