What are the engineering courses that I can take and what does it focus on?

I like to take engineering courses when I go for higher studies in universities or college. But the problem is there is many branches of engineering studies which target on different fields that makes me hard to choose and understand. Civil engineering, telecommunication engineering, electronic, mechanical, mechatronic, electrical and chemical engineering to name a few. Could you tell me what does these courses or other engineering courses focus on and what jobs can I go after I finished the study?

With Mechanical Engineering you learn the most and become the best all around Engineer. All other disciplines specialize in only one specific area.

You might want to think of it like this. Do you ever want to get your Engineering License and become a Professional Engineer who can go out and open your own shop?

I don't have the stats in front of me, but Mechanical and Electrical Engineers are much more likely to pass the PE exam. Most other branches of Engineering just don't cover enough for you to become a good general engineer.

I think Civil is third, I think.

I would consider Mechanical the hardest because we actually study all branches of engineering. but I'm sure I'd have a fight with EE's over that.

But really the idea of harder can be subjective. I found chemistry harder than any of the physics and physical sciences.

When i was in college, we once had a combined materials science course, half ME's and half ChemE's. When we were covering stress's and strains and stuff, they were all scratching their heads and we were laughing. But when we got to chemical equations, it was their turn to laugh at us. They were ripping though these chemical reactions like they were nothing and leaving us in the dust.

    Anyway, good luck to you

In mechanical engineering itself, you may take "computerized administration" as an elective concern. I took this concern merely approximately forty years in the past. There are administration structures without the want for any digital or electric structures. yet mechanical engineering course generally could desire to contain some electric matters additionally. in case you combine the two, you may address robotics. yet superb could have been mechjatronics.

    hi buddy,

i think mechanical engineering is the best among all.....since it deals with practical works....u got to know wht happens inside a bike or care....and the same time u will know how to make thm being a guy everyone like bikes, cars and speed so ths will be ur dream come true...u will learn the microstructures in second year of diffrnt metals tht r used ...and how thy behave...doing mechanical engineering is having fun... but it will cost a litl manual hard work ...at the last i can say tht its not just mugging up the things without knowing its practical applications like in othr engineering courses .... u will know while entrying into ths stream wht is hapening in all the machines ,metals and bots across u and how to handle it.... and if u really like the stream u will know tht its the step towards sucess .i,e "ROBOTICS" every guys dream to enter the field and creat gadgets of thyr own....

"PLZ KEEP IN MIND ITS U WHO HAVE TO STUDY THE COURSE NOR UR FRIENDS OR PARENTS OR ANYONE ELSE .........SO MAKE UR OWN DECISION"

if u liked my suggestion or views msg me.....take care....
