Whatever happened to the missing link, he was a very dangerous wrestler back in the day.?

He Died in the last few Weeks.

Meredith Renwick; wrote this {I condensed} and the Autobiography; Bang Your Head! The Real Story of "The Missing Link."

Dewey suffered from cancer’s recurrence he lost one kidney in 1993, most likely due to his long use of anabolic steroids. There were his addictions - marijuana his family issues, and his ability to drive people away.

Someone once told me that he was like a puppy dog. He needed constant attention, might pee on your carpet and chew up your slippers, but you couldn't help but feel something for the big lug.

Dewey's a manic-depressive, one day on top of the world and the next day the world’s about to end.

I had to convince him to write about his Wrestling Career too, people want to hear about more than just his recovery from addictions.

He had no income other than government assistance and odd jobs.

His life was always in flux, fighting with his family, and he had an on-and-off girlfriend.

He had a way of using people up. It took a lot of time and energy to be his confidante.

I got tired of being in the eye of the emotional storm always swirling around him; the bouts of mania followed by depression, the anger and the distrust.

I admired his candor about his alcohol and drug use and particularly his willingness to admit in print that he'd used anabolic steroids. A lot of wrestlers won't. They'll tell you what other people did but not themselves.

Dewey told me that writing his life story kept him going during the darkest years of his life, after his marriage had ended and his physical and mental health began deteriorating from years of excessive drug use.

In recent years, Robertson spoke out against taking steroids and abusing alcohol. Robertson helped to train current WWE wrestler Val Venis.

    Outspoken Dewey Robertson said about;

Eddie Guerrero’s death: "It's sad when you have to keep taking steroids to keep your job."

Late in 1983 Dewey shaved most of his head, painted his face green, acted nuts, and became a big name in the U.S. as the Missing Link.

Dewey didn't start wrestling until 24. He also opened the first co-ed gym in his home area and considers himself ahead of his time with the Missing Link gimmick.

The Missing Link brought Dusty Rhodes to his knees in a test of strength that’s what make's The Missing Link a legend.

"The Missing Link" is a character that received such fan fair in the 70's and '80's that it is almost shocking to hear where the man ended up by the time 1990 rolled around.

In his Own words’ hear the true story of drug addiction, alcoholism, overcoming, surviving, and writing a book to tell about it.

The Original Flying Head butt’er, headbutt after headbutt including chairs backstage, established the figure-four leg-lock finish.

Why are evolutionists in such desperation to find a non existing intermediate link ? Because the theory of evolution is one of the cornerstones of atheism. Promoting it casts doubt on the truth of the Bible. They believe, and rightly so, that if even one aspect of the Holy Word can be "proven" false then the Bible, in its entirety, will collapse. Ain't never gonna happen. Why? Because the Bible is Truth. Period. 1 Corinthians 3:19 (NKJV) 19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, “He catches the wise in their own craftiness”; BTW: It is appropriate to ask scientific questions in R&S when they are directed toward subjects which are frequently used to either refute or promote religious ideas. God Bless You!

My 'ex' was a big time 'Rasslin' addict back when & I remember the 'Missin' Link' from those days. I heard the 'Link' died recently of some kind of cancer that was aggravated by his long time steroid use before he quit 'rasslin'.

There was a time back in the 80's when they had 'Rasslin' in Yuma, and the 'Link' was supposed to be on the card, but he cancelled at the last minute.

I have an autographed card from Michaels, the 'Nasty's' & the 'Boston Bulldog' from the same event.

well I wouldn't say he was of horseman caliber, but maybe he could be a member of a team called the four frantics with Abdullah the Butcher, Kamala and George Steele managed by Kevin Sullivan or something like that. Perhaps tagging as the green machine and the blue meanie he could have success as well. Good question haven't heard that name in a while.
