I can't delete a desktop shortcut?
I am running Windows Vista Home Premium. I uninstalled some of the bundled software that came with my computer. After uninstalling one of the programs, I went to take the shortcut off the desktop and it won't let me put it in the recycle bin. It says the file can't be found. Why won't it let me delete a shortcut to a file that isn't on my computer anymore? Can someone please tell me how to delete it?

A common glitch.
It's already gone.
Reboot to make it go away.

You just drag it to the recycle bin. Deleting a shortcut won't delete the original program. Just make sure you're deleting a shortcut and not a program file.

Right click it to goto it's Properties. Then point it to an existing application (use the Find Target button). Once pointed there, you can delete the shortcut.
Or, you could spend 10 minutes rebooting :)
