What is worse, humility or pride?
I would like to add that I am not asking about arrogance. I am asking about pride. What I mean by pride is the ability to accept what you can do and not only tell people that you can do it, but actually do it.

you mean when it's overdone, right? hmm, tough one, but i'd probably say humility. being overly humble can make you a doormat!
here's a quote i once read: 'humble people don't think less of themselves, they think of themselves less.' so maybe pride can be a part of humility; it just needs to be balanced :)

Pride is worse. Humility teaches you so much more than being prideful. It especially teaches you to be humble, not boastful. Even if you've earned recognition and pride, lessons you've learned in humility will help you to not seem arrogant.

Humility: Marked by meekness or modesty in behavior, attitude, or spirit; not arrogant or prideful.
Pride: A sense of one's own proper dignity or value; self-respect.
Both are valuable, but neither to excess.

Pride. Humility may be...well, humiliating, but eventually you get over it. Everyone gets humiliated at some point. Pride, on the other hand is an abhorring characteristic that does not easily leave.

i dont understand your question..which is worse..humility or pride? well generally pride is a good thing, and people like to have pride whether in themselves, things they do, or others. and overall humility generally isnt a good thing, people dont usually like to feel humiliated..so honestly i dont understand why or exactly what you're asking. i guess in a sense pride could be bad if you let it get to your head, and humility can teach you something, but overall, that question cannot be answered unless directed towards something specific.

Well, you really don't want too much or too little of one or the other. I suppose pride can be worse because it can cause you to act without much introspection, which can get you into trouble. But conversely, fear of humility can cause you not to act when you should have. I'm gonna have to sit on the fence on this one.

Pride is ego boasting and humility is humbling of the ego. Pride is one of the so called seven deadly sins and humility did not make the list.

Neither, if it is all done in moderation. Their is nothing wrong with pride as long as you keep it under control, and too much humility eventually turns you into a person who cannot stand up for themselves.

Hello....Understand that "true humility" is simply knowing who you are and being who you are (from your heart)...also, there is nothing "wrong" with pride, (please bear with me..) Pride is (as an anacronism) Personal Responsibility In Daily Effort.... Ther is nothing "wrong" with this.. like when one"takes Pride in ones accomplishments"or ones efforts in work,"well done" but, on the 'FLIP SIDE' ther is always a wrong approach to everything, and of course, wrong humility would be the kind that would tend to make one belittle ones self or self image, or cause one to "regress" this is wrong...selfish pride is the kind that undermines others and makes them feel small, it cheats them and robs them of who they are to cause others to look away from them to the one who is the most arrogant... this is very wrog also, and everybody knows it....lol...lol

“Humility is like underwear, essential, but indecent if it shows”
“Temper gets you into trouble. Pride keeps you there.”
These are famous quotes from whom I cannot remember.
So according to these quotes, I would say pride is worse. But in real life I would say a little dab of each is necessary to survive. Why didn't you ask, which is better?
