HOW can there be universal salvation when CHRIST was so selective on who could be saved.PREDESTINATION?

IN JOHN:14:6 HE said you can only go to HIS FATHER thru HIM. In John 6:44 and 6 :65 HE said you could only come to HIM if you were sent to HIM by HIS FATHER. This limits salvation to the ones chosen by THE FATHER to be sent to CHRIST to be saved to those who HE gives HIS grace to by selecting them to go to CHRIST . I believe this is Predestination (don't you?

That is correct, there is no universal salvation. This is Calvinism, and Booth and Horton Hears You are right. Predestination is a good thing, God knowing and loving his own from before the foundations of the world. That means that Christians are very special to Him, and saved from eternity to eternity. Some of them just don't know it yet, and we get to participate in this predestination by bringing the good news to others. Isn't that cool?

YES! yes only GODcan predestin anyone. yes Christ gave us a prerequiste for our salvation but HE also gave us 2 more JOHN 14:6 and John 6:44,65. Also to satisfy John 6:44,65 GOD needs to give us HIS GRACE and send us to HIS SON , I haven't heard anything about everyone recieving theGRACE OF GOD- FATHER,SON . or HOLY SPRIRT .The BIBLE seems to indicate not everyone receives HIS GRACE but only the ones lucky enough to be selected by THE FATHER( GOD'S lotto) and that is done before they are born

If Christ supposedly died for all men, it is evident that He could not save all men since more men have died in unbelief than have gone to glory through faith in Christ. This of course would mean that God is not Omnipotent and that Christ gained only a partial victory at the cross. Therefore the view of Universal atonement is not tenable.

2 Peter 3:9...God wants all to be saved

John 3:16...notice the Whosoever - "any one who does"

Romans 8:29...we are predestinated, based on his foreknowledge to be conformed to the Image of His Son...not salvation

He knew we were going to be saved so He predestined us to, after salvation, be conformed or changed to be like Jesus Christ.

There is no universal salvation. Predestination mandates particular, or limited, atonement. Christ died for His elect, not for every person who ever lived.

  • Christ has ensured that everyone who lives will be resurrected. Thus everyone will be saved from Physical death.

And no i dont believe that is predestination.

Jesus never did predestinated anyone, God did. & God did it by his foreknowledge of what decision you or I would make. So God himself is the one that predestinates. Didn't Jesus say All that the Father hath given me will come to me.

Christ Sacrifice gave us the PREREQUISITE to salvation. Not the guaranty! You still have to show works and faith to be saved from the world of Satan!
