How to get to Redskins game?

Hey, I will be going to the season opener this sunday of the Washington Redskins when they play the Miami Dolphins. But I am not 100% sure how to get to Fed Ex field I think is the name of the stadium. Anyway I heard the metro goes there. I will be leaving from Foggy Bottom so I know I will have to take the blue line first and would like to know what line goes to the stadium and if the metro does not go there how I can get there using public transportation.

You will be better off walking from the Morgan Blvd. Metro Station to the stadium.

"Fans headed to the Redskins game are encouraged to ride Metrorail’s Blue Line to the Morgan Boulevard Metrorail station, which is less than a mile from the stadium. A walkway offers direct access to the stadium."

You could also take the $5 shuttle bus from the Landover Station:

"A second option for fans attending the Redskins game is to ride Metrorail’s Orange Line to the Landover Metrorail station to catch the Metrobus shuttle to FedEx Field. Metrobus shuttle service will be available from the Landover station three hours before kickoff, and available two and one-half hours after the conclusion of the game. The shuttle service costs $5, with representatives from the Redskins collecting the $5 fee from Metrobus customers after they arrive at the stadium."

Take the blue line towards Largo to Addison Road Metro Station. There take The Bus 23 towards Cheverly Metro to 8330 Sheriff Road. After that it's a few blocks walk to the field.

You can also take the Orange line (towards New Carrollton) to Cheverly then take The Bus 23 (see above thereafter).

Check out www.wmata.com on the day of the game to see if there are any delays or line changes and for your exact schedule. It allows you to put in departure/arrival times and plan your trip down to the minute.

    Have fun.

There is no direct Metro access to FedEx Field. The closest stadium would be Morgan Blvd on the Blue Line. A bus might run from there to the stadium, or you could take a taxi. If a bus doesn' trun from there, check out Addison Road-Seat Pleasant station, one stop before. Call the stations ahead of time and check it out.

The bus that bk scorpio is talking about does not run on Sunday according to the WMATA website. Call the Addison Road/Seat Pleasant Metro Station and check.

You'll have to take a taxi from Morgan Blvd.

Patriots: I mean, ravens CAN win, i just don't think you can logically pick against the Patriots given their body of work so far. Redskins: Yes i know emotions running thick, and an early in the week game, not to mention the physical hole of not having Sean Taylor back there (his backup isn't nearly as good) it doesn't overshadow the eternal enigma that is the number one quarterback on the depth chart for Chicago Bears.

take the train to either landover (orange line) or addison rd (blue line) they offer shuttle buses from both stations going to fed ex field on game days. Whatever you do, do not drive (75.00) to park and walking along the roads leading to the field is illegal on game days. So hope a train and a shuttle to be on the safe side.

    Have fun
