Why am I only getting that big blue letter "Q" when trying to watch a video feed?

Whenever I am attempting to play a video from alot of sites. All that opens up is the screen in which lies a big blue "Q".I am assumiing that is the "quicktime" symbol. No video begins at all. What can I do to resolve this problem?I have already attempted to reinstall some codecs.

    Hello baldbychoice,

Hopefully, you have already downloaded the newest Quicktime player. It's available to Windows users too. Go here and be sure to download the correct one for your platform.

    http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/

Also sometimes Quicktime movies simply don't load up the way that they should. Instead of playing the movie on your web browser, you might try downloading the movie and playing it on your computer instead. On the Macintosh you hold down on the Option key while you click on the link to the movie and it starts downloading to your desktop. I'm sure that it's something similar with Windows. Then you simply double click on the movie and Quicktime launches and shows you the movie.

    Best of luck to you.
