Where can I do some snorkeling on Grand Bahama island near Our Lucaya?

I will be going to the Grand Bahamas and staying at Our Lucaya. I wish to do some snorkeling but would prefer to do it on my own schedule. Does anyone know of any locations that I can snorkel without renting a boat or going through a company?

I have my own gear already. Thank you.

I was there last week and asked the Taxi driver the same thing. He told us the crime rate is very low, that we had nothing to worry about. My only complaint, everything is VERY expensive in Our Lucaya. A cheeseburger with fries at the Sheraton on the beach was $13! T Shirts - around $30 each. You can buy 3 for $10 but they are very low quality. If you can get to Nassau, wait to buy stuff there.

    Stella39 is correct.

You can snorkle anywhere you like, anytime you like.

Just go right in to the water, and stay as long as you want without anybody bothering you.

You might see others snorkling, or you may be completely alone.

Very relaxing, no cost, and on your own time!
