What is the best way to travel from Brussels Midi train station to Grand Place?
Hello, I can't seem to find much detail on travelling from Brussells Midi train station to Grand Place, Belgium? I have about a 4 1/2 hour layover at the train station.
Does anyone know how long this would take and the best/ cheapest way to get there?
Any websites would be great too.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
2 AnswersBelgium1 decade agoHow can I increase the towing capacity of a 2005 Jeep Cherokee Laredo?
I have a early edition 2005 Jeep Cherokee Laredo. It has a dealer installed after market hitch (class 3). I just found out that the maximum towing capacity is only 3,500 lbs. I have a travel trailer for camping that weighs 3,200lbs empty. I imagine I will be towing close to 3,500lbs when geared up. The camping trips will be about 5 times per year and the drives will be about 1-2 hours each way.
Will a transmission cooler allow for an increased towing capacity? Will I be able to tow the maximum recommended capacity safely without damaging my transmission?
I also have an anti-sway bar with weight distribution if that matters.
Thanks for any help I can get.
1 AnswerOther - Cars & Transportation1 decade agoWhere can I do some snorkeling on Grand Bahama island near Our Lucaya?
I will be going to the Grand Bahamas and staying at Our Lucaya. I wish to do some snorkeling but would prefer to do it on my own schedule. Does anyone know of any locations that I can snorkel without renting a boat or going through a company?
I have my own gear already. Thank you.
5 AnswersBahamas1 decade agoWhy wear a moneybelt over the hotel room security box when in Amsterdam, Paris or London?
Everyone always says that you should wear a moneybelt to carry your passport and important documents when travelling through Europe.
Why is this a better option than storing these items in the hotel security box in the hotel room?
I can understand a moneybelt when carrying large amounts of cash or in transit to the hotel. But why a moneybelt when you have a saftey box to use?
Thanks.

3 AnswersOther - Europe1 decade agoHas anyone climbed to the 2nd platform of the Eiffel Tower in Paris?
I do not have hours to wait in line and am wondering how long it takes to climb to the 2nd platform.
How long from the ground to the 1st platform and then from the 1st platform to the 2nd platform?
Do you take the elevator down or climb back down?
I am a very fit 30+ year old male. THANKS.
4 AnswersParis1 decade agoAny tips for avoiding the lines at Eiffel Tower in Paris? Can you bring up a backpack?
Besides having a reservation at a restaurant, is there any other ways to aviod the lines at the Eiffel Tower? Maybe time of the day or something else.
Also, can you bring a backpack or small bag with you?
3 AnswersParis1 decade agoHas anyone used the Paris Museum Pass for Notre Dame, Arc de Triomphe or Louvre ?
I have a couple of general questions. Has anyone actually used the Museum Pass at the Notre Dame, Arc de Triomphe, Louvre or Hotel Invalides? Was it beneficial to use at Notre Dame and Arc de Triomphe specifically?
As far as cutting the lines go, do you actually cut the people waiting to climb the tower or just cut the people waiting to purchase tickets? I can't find this specific information anywhere. Is it the same for Arc de Triomphe?
I don't care about the price of the pass, for me it would be the convenience and time saved of cutting the lines.
Last question, I will be purchasing a carnet (10 tickets) for the Metro to use in and around the city. But does the Metro depart from Charles de Gaulle airport? Or can I only take the RER train? How much is it into city center?
3 AnswersParis1 decade agoHas anyone been in Paris for Bastille Day (July 14th)?
I will be in Paris for Bastille Day (July 14th) in 2007. Unfortunatly, I am only in Paris for 2 days and Bastille Day greatly impacts my tourist opportunities as this is a National Holiday and I hear that everything is closed.
Where should I stay away from on this day? I hear there may be fireworks at the Eifel Tower ? (I guess I'll have to go here the night before).
I want to see as much as possible in the short time I am there. My only entire day in Paris is unfortunatly on Bastille Day. I am a little upset by it.
Does anyone have any advice to offer or have ideas? Are all the stores really closed?
THANKS.
