Some radios have the name of Brick 77 or Brick 80, with that said: Prick E-7 (E-7 is a Platoon Sargent in the Army) We would send people to go get one from the Communications Sargent that happen to be a E-7.

I was in the Army, and I remember a Marine recruiter telling me Army stands for:

Aint Ready to be a Marine Yet...

    So I joined the Army...

Here are a few others little "fun" things as well... (a little off subject but, applicable)

    Whiskey Tango Foxtrot = (WTF)

As an EW our motto was "EW's do it with frequency until it hertz.

Before a cruise we would generate echo whiskey codes (Echo Whiskey = EW = Electronic Warfare).

When we were out in the middle of nowhere with not much to do we would play jeopardy or other job related games over our secure net. We would take turns asking/answering questions pertaining to info inherent to our rate. We would use these echo whiskey codes to relay goofy, joking info to other ships’ EW’s. Nobody ever really knew what we did and our net was secure.

    Examples:

Echo whiskey alpha one niner desig bravo = your mother eats donkey dung

Echo whiskey hotel desig blue valor = you owe me a beer in the next port

    EDIT:

axsooted so eloquently points out that my rate was typically reserved for the intellectual and therefore, according to some peoples perception the nerdy. Nice!

(although I do believe Kevin (aka “Tiny”) would disagree) He was 6’3” 280 pounds of football playing, crawfish head sucking, Gin drinking hard as$ness.

I was one of the ships key berthing wrestling champs. The rest of the twidgits (i.e. “nerdy” electronics/intelligence rates) would never raid another divisions berthing without me.
