Champagne Bottles?
We are going to have a "champagne" theme for our wedding. The sashes that the girls are wearing are champagne and the menu is champagne based -champagne vinegerette salad dressing, champagne shrimp bisque soup, etc.
So my question is if we have wine bottles as favors do you think that's out of theme with the wedding? we were going to have them because there is a line of wine that has his last name so we wouldnt have to buy labels but it would still have a personalized feel. OR should we just get champagne bottles and personalize them. If so - any suggestions on relatively cheap but nice tasting champagne and where we can get labels made up?
thanks!

It's really easy to personalize champagne and wine bottles yourself!
You can scrub off the existing labels (running them under some warm water helps or you can use Goo Gone) and then make sure the bottles are completely dry. You can buy craft sticker paper at craft stores or even just a Wal-Mart. (I've included a link to what I mean by sticker paper.) You can design your own label on the computer. Free free to feature your names and wedding date, but also be sure you include some of the information from the original label (the name of the champagne, what winery it is from, and the percent alcohol by volume) Then print the design onto your sticker paper, cut them out, and stick them on the bottles!
Ta-da! Personalized wine or champagne!

I think you should definitely get the champagne as favors instead of the wine. The personalized labels that you make will be more memorable than just a wine with your husband's name. You can get small bottles of champagne, if you don't want to buy a big bottle for everyone. It would actually be cuter to have a mini bottle! Check out a local wine store to see their selection. I would make the labels for the bottles on your computer. You could print them on stickers and just apply to the bottle, or paper and then use scrapbooking adhesive tape to apply.

if the theme is champagne, and you have wine bottles for favors, that kinda kills the whole continuity of the theme.
Just spring for champagne. Frexinet makes a cordon ***** and it comes in a black bottle with gold lettering. Kinda fancy looking----you can purchase it by the case at Sam's club and it's quite inexpensive.

I would get champagne and personalise the labels. YOu are going all out with champagne for everything else, it seems odd that the only thing missing from the champagne wedding is......champagne!! :-)

I think the wine bottles will work fine, especially since they already have your last name on them :)
It shouldn't matter what everyone thinks. It is your day and you should enjoy every minute of it.
For my wedding favor we are having can koozies made, with our names on them.

Signature wines has everything you need.
You can design your own label, and you can choose from a variety of beverages (kids, non-drinkers).
