can anyone tell me should i wait till october to buy the new imac ?
sorry for seeming stupid but all i ever used were pc's and was wondering as i need to upgrade my computer and the new imac seems a very good machine should i wait till october and get leopard on it.now is leopard a new operating system like windows vista or an upgrade to an already current apple system ,or will i be able to upgrade later if i buy now

The actual release date for Leopard is not yet set in stone. Once that is known, you should be able to order a computer that includes a free upgrade to Leopard.
Of course the current Mac OS is already excellent and you many not need to think about upgrading right away. You could then buy the upgrade when you are ready.
The new iMac is going to be a great computer with either OS.

Leopard is going to be the fastest and best looking os out. You will be able to put it on if you buy now. You could save some money if you buy later. Leopard upgrade disks will cost over $100 for sure. I would wait, you might be able to save some money. DON'T BUY VISTA!!!!!!!!!!!!
