How do you hook up a projector to watch sports?

I am trying to set up a projector in my backyard to watch the football game on Sunday. I want to know how should I do it. Can I hook up my Direct TV to a laptop and then hook the laptop to the projector using an S cord connection?? Please advise what would be the easiest way to make this happen. Oh, the game is on a local channel.

Thanks...

    It's simple!

Just run a cable from the output of your DTV box to the input of your projector. Without knowing what connections you have on both it's hard to say exactly, but if your pj has S Video input then just run the S video directly from the DTV box to the PJ.

One, note however. Although using S video is ok you'll get a much better picture using component (Red/Green/Blue). You can use a VGA to component adapter like this one
