Hedgehog diet?

I was wondering if anyone knew what a good diet for hedgehogs would be? I was reading that most "hedgehog" foods are actually bad and would be better off with cat food as well as insects for treats. So if anyone has a brand of food that would be more suited for them im am trying to gather all the info i can before bringing one home. Thanks in advanced!

A high quality kitten food is usually used, everyone has different opinions on which brand to feed though. Find one that has real meat as the first ingredient, and very little fillers. There is a hedgehog food called "spikes delight" that you can only order online that is actually a premixed formula of stuff. I usually feed some of that, some of my cat's food, occasionally a bit of my ferrets food (very high in protein) and they get insects and fresh foods every now and then in addition to the hard kibble diet. It seems to work well for my 2 hedgies.
