Why would hormone levels drop during pregnancy?
Why would a woman's hormone levels drop 50%, five months into a pregnancy? What can cause this?
I wish I could tell you which exactly. I'm trying to figure something out based on just a few details. Whichever ones dropped, caused for a confirmation of "no life in the embryo"...does this make sense?

Depends on what hormones you are talking about.
Normally your hormones drop as the pregnancy goes on, at first there is a sudden rush of them and ultimately they taper off.
But if you HCG is decreased, then I would assume spontaneous miscarriage is likely. I know progesterone decreases.
Please state which hormone you are talking about.
and I could give you a better answer
Source(s): No life in embryo would mean you miscarried. But a baby is no longer an embryo after a certain amount of time. 5 months a baby is referred to as a fetus. An embryo is basically as an egg up until it reaches a fetus stage which is very shortly after. Has your doctor told you that you have lost the baby - Anonymous1 decade ago
If you are talking about hCG then it sounds like the pregnancy could possibly end in miscarriage. I have had 2 miscarriages. During my 2nd pregnancy I had some bleeding. I went to the doctor to get my hCG levels tested over a few days. 9 weeks 2 days it was 52,900. 9 weeks and 4 days it was 45,700 and at 10 weeks and 1 day it dropped to 28,000. It was inevitable that I was going to have a miscarriage.

Well, why not? Just take care that you bath in your third day or later because the second day is actually the most important day due to the fact that this is the day the ovum is released and obviously if you bath in the first day your period may completely stop for the whole month or come again the following days or weeks and this is because the blood pressure is not as strong and is easily stopped. By experience I would tell you that the best day to bath is the third because the blood pressure is still somewhat strong and the ovum has already been released.
