I work in my church's bookstore and am looking for some information for a kind woman who stopped by the other day. She is interested in reading more about St Michael the Archangel, and would like it to be in the form of a book (as she would like to carry it around with her). I have found only two titles that approach this subject:

1. "St Michael and the Angels: A Month with St Michael and the Holy Angels"

and

2. "St Michael" by Mirabai Starr

Does anyone have any other titles that would be of interest, or offer information on St Michael?

I was listening to Rosalind Moss on the radio the other day, and a caller called in to ask if she thought it alright to post a Mezuzah at her door. Rosalind gave the a-ok, and gave a lot of useful background information about the meaning of the Mezuzah, and the significance of it. She also brought up an instance of a parish that she had been to which had one above it's entrance. Are there any Catholics on here that have one at their door? What do you think about this?

Based off of your personal experience, what have you found to be the best car wash in Seattle and on the Eastside?

I have a friend who is paying for a trip (plane ticket and hotel) for me to travel to Hawai'i (Oahu). It began as her way of persuading me to show her around (it's her first time to the island), and ended with her telling me that it would be my birthday gift. It's still a pretty big gift! I was wondering if anyone had any ideas as to how I could thank her--other than just saying the words. I was thinking that maybe it could be something that is incorporated into the trip?

Why would a woman's hormone levels drop 50%, five months into a pregnancy? What can cause this?

Does this make sense, or has anyone ever heard of this happening?

If a doctor were examining a woman who is 5 months pregnant, and the baby did not have a heartbeat, would he/she then send the patient home, before removing the baby from the mother? Is this ever the case, and if so, in what case would this occur?

I've asked this to a number of personal friends and family, and it has always come off the wrong way--so I'm going to give it a go on my favorite little site ;) ...

What is it that draws certain churches to needing security departments/security guards? (for instance during services; leaders needing escort security). Why is it common in certain churches, and not others?

It came to my attention that a local church here in my area has security personnel at their services, escorting their leaders around town, etc. Do you think that it is a "new phenomena" that is directly related to the media which is attached to a certain church? Why would some churches attract more "dangerous types" as opposed to another? There are plenty of other churches that I am aware of that do not have security, and I can't think of a single parish that I know of that does. However, when I brought this question up to someone, they claimed that it is common and many churches have this sort of thing.
