Where is a good restaurant to have a baby shower in Seattle?

I am trying to plan a baby shower, and was wondering if there are any good restaurants to host one at, either in Seattle or on the Eastside. Any suggestions? (I'm open to a private room, or even just an area that's a little set apart from the rest of the restaurant...it's very small--only 6 people)

Salty's on Alki would be a nice place for sure. Joey's over on Lake Union would be a great place during the day for a baby shower. With only 6 of you, it shouldn't be too much of a worry for noise/space, as the group will be fairly small. Even the Dahlia Lounge would be a nice fit, mainly if you aren't right in the front room and you could call to arrange that. The food is great! You could go to a more "chain" style place like the Cheesecake Factory, if you're looking for more relaxed, and the noise level wouldn't really be an issue there, I'd say, right downtown on Pike across from Gameworks.

How nice of a place are you looking for? Are you considering a private room for your privacy or to not be too much for other diners?

What is the price range that your looking at? There are several restaurants in Seattle where you could hold a baby shower but it all depends on the price per plate that your looking to spend.

One place would be Union Square Grill. They have private rooms that you can get and they recently remodeled the last year. I was there for the re-grand opening. Fun fun! The staff is amazing!

Union Square Grill is kind of an upscale business casual restaurant. If that's not your style then I have another suggestion.

Perhaps Ivar's on the water front. The have private rooms for small groups and would be perfect. They are a little more casual and the price is a little less than the Union Square Grill.

Email me if you want more suggestions. The price of plate and class a restaurant will determine where the best place is to hold a baby shower. If you have a group of six and you are having a private party don't worry about your noise level because they are prepared for that. They would tell you in the beginning if it wouldn't work out because of noise. Most likely they look at it as, your a paying customer and it's the slow season and the managers would tell the staff they need to suck it up because they need the business. Good luck to you there is lots to choose from!

I like Rosita's Mexican near Greenlake. Usually lots of noisy kids there, so no one will notice the baby! <wink>

Shower, bath, whatever it takes to get the baby clean! Nothing worse than a smelly baby. Don't you think?
