What's that movie you can't see enough of??

Let's set the scene. You're sitting at home, all alone. Perhaps you're waiting for someone to come over and take you out, or maybe it's late at night or during the day, and you are BORED BORED BORED. You decide to turn on the television and flip thru the channels, and suddenly - THERE IT IS. Your most favorite movie in the world. Maybe you've seen it in theatres, or maybe you've watched it on TV a few times. You just know you have to see it again - NOW. Even if it costs you a little sleep, or your friend coming over has to wait for you to finish watching it to have some time with you, you're going to watch it. ALL of it.

Legends of the Fall fits that bill for me - it's got drama, romance, adventure, everything a good movie needs in my humble opinion (and current state of mind). What's your favorite, can't-get-enough-movie-of-all-time, and why is it so VERY addictive?

Update:

OMG.... Forrest Gump and The Notebook are REALLY good ones too... I love the vibe this question is getting. Keep the great answers coming!

Update 2:

TELL YOUR FRIENDS! I want to get more responses than I could possibly review!!! I'm going for a record here, if we can do it.... :-)

Oh gawd .. there's a few. Dirty Dancing, The Titanic, Old Yeller, Where The Red Fern Grows, Coal-miner's Daughter, The Colour Purple, An Officer And A Gentleman, To Jullian .. On Her 37th Birthday, The Burning Bed, Legends Of The Fall, Rush Hour 1&2 and Urban Cowboy. There's more ... but that's all I can think of right now. :)

I love each movie for varied reasons. Some hit close to home, and I can relate. Some of them have great actors/actresses and some grab a peice of my heart, and make me release emotions that I usually keep in check.

Edit: Dayum ... just about forgot about The Green Mile and Shawshank Redemtion!! :)

There are so many, but the main one would be ROMEO & JULIET (1968). I've loved this film for almost 40 years and doubt I'll ever fall out of love with it. Leonard Whiting *sigh*

The music, sets, actors, direction, cinematography and everything else are absolutely, positively, undeniably perfect. It's a feast for the eyes and ears. I can't imagine not wanting to watch this magical film that I'm hopelessly in love with.

I still buy memorabilia~now through ebay! Oh, the wonders of the Net, which I'm still rather a newbie to.

Other must-watch films are Rebel Without a Cause, Jaws, POTC, Swashbuckler, Hellboy, Casablanca, Gone with the Wind, The Wizard of Oz, The Day the Earth Stood Still, Butterflies Are Free, The Outsiders, Camelot... And, I'd better stop there! I'm a film buff who watches favorite films 50-plus times and never tires of them. I could explain why I'm in love with each and every one and many more.

There are lots of movies that're like that with me (I love movies), but if I had to choose, it wouldn't be a movie at all, it would be a tv show: Any one of the last 3 episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Season 3: The Prom, Graduation Day, Part 1, or Graduation Day, Part 2! Or possibly the season finale of Buffy season 2: Becoming Part 1 & Becoming Part 2.

    : )

    Source(s): I loved Buffy!!! : )

  • Thirteen Going On Thirty is kinda like that for me. . .I can remember oh so well what that age was like and how mean the "cool" girls were, how much we longed for boobs and how generally awkward that age is. There's always at least one overweight guy or nerd who grows up into a hunk at every school - and what surprise that turns out to be! And I think we are all just 13 yr. olds running around in adult bodies anyway. . .and really, who can't relate to Jennifer Garner's reaction when her boyfriend strips to "Ice Ice Baby"? Eeewww indeed!!

This movie even inspired me to go my bangs out to look more like Jennifer Garner's hair. I'd never watched her TV show before this movie (and still haven't), but I just adore her in this movie - she's so believable!!

Two movies for me. Armageddon because I just love the action, love story and the heros who risked their lives to save the world. American History X because of the world we live in and the racism that is still occuring today. The way the lead character turned his life around and stopped the racism in his family after his experience in prison. I own both movies and will never get tired of watching them
