At what point do you start to feel sorry for the other team?
I was watching Iowa vs. Syracuse last night. I'm happy that Iowa trounced Syracuse, but I felt just a little bit sorry that Syracuse lost as badly as they did. I was just wondering at what point people start to feel badly for the opposing team and hope they score just so the thing just isn't so one sided?

If it's a team that is out of their league, maybe sometime late in the 4th quarter. If it's a serious conference game or rival, NEVER.

When you can tell the players are giving 150%, but that their coaches have betrayed them....... I have seen too many players hobbled by bad coaching.....and I always feel bad for them.
But if they are pompous....like Michigan to start this season, or OSU, to finish the last....then not at all.

In a case such as this, feel sorry for them until basketball season comes around.

in college ball margin of victory counts in standings so you have to run it up if you can. plus your players have to show for the scouts
