Mark Henry: Talentless Hack or just Wasted Potential?

I always have liked mark henry, especially during his "Sexual Chocolate" days. It just seems like anytime he built any momentum towards becoming a main eventer, he got injured or had a health issue.

Update:

Snow USC...thanks for pointing that out. A lot of people forget that.

mr c, i think mark henry is definitely wasted potential!

he could do a lot for the wwe, but youre right, everytime he gets that push, its as if the push was a little too hard and he fell over and grazed his knee (ignore the crappy metaphor! LOL!)

the "silverback" gimmick really did work for him but the "sexual chocolate" gimmick...

lets just say that when i think of him, i definitely do NOT think of "sex" or "chocolate"!!!

    LOL!

yeah, the "silverback" is his thing! his viciousness (if thats a word!) and ruthlessness are his main assets, as well as his size and strength...but like you and most of my fellow answerees said, his potential is wasted because of injuries and health issues

proof that being a wwe wrestler is a very challenging and tough profession

    * = hey man, in my language, we call this a "kick-*** question!" LOL!

"The World's Strongest Man" is wasted potential. The WWE hasn't done a good job at creating him as the unstoppable monster he should be.

The WWE should take him off television temporarily. After a month or two, begin airing vignettes with Henry performing amazing feats (similiar to the Mr.Perfect vignettes that aired regularly) that no other man could ever accomplish, strength-related. Example: a fan from the crowd is brought into the ring and tries to bend a steel pipe, which he can't bend. Mark Henry then bends the pipe in front of everyone, live on television (this would happen upon his actual return).

Henry isn't all that great on the mic in my opinion, he is ok but not great. With his gimmick as the WSM, he doesn't need to talk ... actions speak louder than words.

He's been wasted potential for years. When he came back from his injury and was exhibiting his strength again (as a face), I thought he was finally getting the push he needed.

Yeah, wasted. It just doesn't make anysense that he hasn't had a title shot since I don't even remember. He's supposed to be the world's strongest man isn't he?

I think he would be better to watch as champion than Khali, who can't even speak english clearly.

Wasted potential. He always seemed to get hurt whenever he would get pushed. The "Silverback" gimmick is great for him, though!

he's rather undesirable, yeah. remember some years returned, while anybody concept Tom green and Pauly Shore have been fairly humorous, and then all of us slowly got here to the top that they have been fairly undesirable? we are beginning up to seize directly to Dane cook dinner too.
