All successful diets depend on the will of the dieter. But you can't possibly stick to it if each day requires a conscious act of will - it's like making the decision again, every day, and it's too exhausting to sustain for any length of time.
What you have to do is make the decision! When you've REALLY decided, you don't need to keep reviewing your decision, it's FIXED, you've MADE it, so you don't look at it again. You focus on the diet, stick to it, keep going, knowing that every day you're getting closer to the weight you want to achieve.
I know exactly what you mean about not having the willpower, and that's why - because (I've done this many times) you have to make that act of will every day, and you end up knowing you're going to give up because it's too demanding to do that for long. That's why I'm telling you DECIDE - then you don't need any more willpower, because you've taken the decision! It's firm, fixed and not in need of continual review.
I did this in April, and have lost 6st (84lb) without continually struggling to summon up the will to do it. If you do this, you'll find keeping to the diet is simple.
I imagine you know that diets always work best when combined with some sort of regular exercise? 20-30 minutes a day is fine, as long as it is every day, and that will boost your metabolism so that you are burning more calories than usual and you'll lose weight more quickly as a result. Do whatever you enjoy, but don't overdo it, otherwise you'll get too tired and not do any, or you'll injure yourself and be unable to do any. You can always increase the time spent exercising once your body has got used to half an hour a day, and you feel able to cope with longer exercise periods.

Get a friend to go on the diet or exercise with you. I had the same problem. Then one of my friends went to the gym with me and i was tons of fun.

Could you do a shake a day, cleanse 1 day per week? If you can, check this system out.
