Anybody see the BillO-Ron Paul Interview last night? Comments?
BillO seems to be getting more crazed than ever. He spent about a minute and a half on the Petraeus hearings, then proceeded to have about a 7 minute interview with Ron Paul where he did his usual huffy interruption/browbeating thing. Paul maybe got to talk for 3 minutes during the whole thing. When Paul tried to give some context to our history with Iran, BillO huffed "we don't have time for a history lesson" and abruptly cut him off.
All so he could get to his next "hard-hitting" story, which was a warmed-over rehash of months old comments from the likes of Rosie (he really really misses her, it's obvious) and Tim Robbins, which lead to a "discussion" with the unhinged Michelle Malkin about how the "far left" is taking over the media.
I'm not a Paul supporter, but wouldn't it have been more informative to give an actual candidate more time to talk than express outrage (again) over something Rosie (an unemployed entertainer) said in February?
ideo: I don't watch BillO with any regularity (Olbermann for me) but I was actually a bit curious when I heard Paul was going to be on. He does have some good ideas, when he is allowed to express them.
Henry:
Not whining, just an observation of what I saw. I don't support Paul for President and I have previously never posted anything about him.
I was a bit surprised that he treated a presidential candidate just like anyone else with his browbeating and interruptions. Maybe I haven't watched him very much, and this is the way he always is, but I think he is headed for a meltdown soon.

Bill is not interested in history and was wrong about Dr. Paul's voting record.
Ron Paul is not a pacifist.
At the time of the September 11, 2001 attacks, Paul, defining them as an act of "air piracy", introduced the Marque and Reprisal Act of 2001, which would have granted Letters of Marque and Reprisal, as authorized by Article One, Section Eight, against the specific terrorists, instead of warring against a foreign state.[17] He has also reproposed this legislation recently under the new title of Marque and Reprisal Act of 2007.

Tancredo and Ron Paul have the best voting records for reducing government spending according to the National Taxpayers Union.
They were the only candidates to score 100 percent "A" Grades from 1992 to 2005.

This is a telling statistic, as it highlights the fact that most other candidates rely heavily upon donations from corporate interests and political action committees (PACs) (i.e. moneyed, influence-seeking sources who can readily afford to contribute large sums). Since Congressman Paul has always voted against special favors and privileges for anyone, special interests know they have nothing to gain by stuffing Ron Paul's campaign coffers. As one member of my local Meetup group put it on a home-made sign, "Ron Paul is thin because he won't let special interests buy him lunch."

I figured someone would be on here today whining about how unfair O'Reilly was to Ron Paul. Bill O'Reilly treats everyone like dirt. What did you expect Ron Paul to hog the whole show standing in a spot light waxing nostalgically about how he would save the world? People carped that Ron Paul was not on O'Reilly and now they carp because he was on O'Reilly's show. In case you haven't heard that is an opinion show with the main character one Bill O'Reilly. It is HIS show and he can do pretty much whatever he wants on it. If Ron Paul and his supporters want him to have more air time they should buy a half hour on national television and let the candidate handle it any way he wants.

Thats why it is vitally important for all of us to spend time with our older(senior) citizens. Play a few handsof rummy with them or pinochle or a mere game of chess or checkers. you might learn a few things. The goal is advancement while maintaining "freedom". History is vitally important for us to be able to accomplish this objective without making the same mistakes over and over again. Though we are human, prone to it, we must not lose the knowledge we have gained from past events. It's most certainly a vital key in all of our future endeavors.

It was expected that he would attack him on his foreign policies but I think he did a nice job defended. Bill didn't want a history lesson because that is why there are problems. Ignoring history will lead us to repeat those mistakes.
