wallpaper I hit properties and select desktop they are all blocked how do I unblock?

This is the result of a new form of SPY WARE that may have tried to put an advertising image on your background, then prevent removal by changing a registry entry. There are a couple of fixes but not enough space here to write them out. The different options to fix this is described in detail at the following links. The registry edit seems to have the most positive results. Also, you need a good anti-spy ware program to remove the cause and prevent it from happening again. Try Windows Defender which is still free, but there are many others out there.

You have installed something on you PC that is blocking you from making changes. Check in your control panel under add/remove programs to see if anything you have installed sounds like it could be the problem. You can also download a good spyware/adware program, they often remove software that can do this. I recommend spybots&d, which you can download from downloads.com for free.
