Do Christians need to do one deed - Accept Jesus - to get into Paradise or is that action not necessary ?

That action is necessary.

EDIT: Christianity does NOT teach that deeds are unneccessary. In fact, it teaches the opposite, that "faith without works is dead". One must have faith in Christ to be saved. And what is true, living faith? It clearly requires works. Without them, a person does not have faith. This is where so many people get confused, because without this requirement, there truly is NO incentive to do good. A person can "accept jesus" and then proceed to do every bad thing that Jesus told people NOT to do and still expect to get into heaven. This doesn't make any sense. It defies common sense and it defies the scriptures.

Accepting Jesus is a new concept in Christianity, just a generation or two old. The Bible teaches that to get into "Paradise" you need to believe in Jesus Christ, and confess Him as your Lord. For " with the heart man believes resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation."

Catholics don't believe that, and that is also not Biblical. There are few more confusing topics than salvation. It goes beyond the standard question posed by Fundamentalists: "Have you been saved?" What the question also means is: "Don’t you wish you had the assurance of salvation?" Evangelicals and Fundamentalists think they do have such an absolute assurance. All they have to do is "accept Christ as their personal Savior," and it’s done. They might well live exemplary lives thereafter, but living well is not crucial and definitely does not affect their salvation.

Scripture teaches that one’s final salvation depends on the state of the soul at death. As Jesus himself tells us, "He who endures to the end will be saved" (Matt. 24:13; cf. 25:31–46). One who dies in the state of friendship with God (the state of grace) will go to heaven. The one who dies in a state of enmity and rebellion against God (the state of mortal sin) will go to hell.

"Are you saved?" asks the Fundamentalist. The Catholic should reply: "As the Bible says, I am already saved (Rom. 8:24, Eph. 2:5–8), but I’m also being saved (1 Cor. 1:8, 2 Cor. 2:15, Phil. 2:12), and I have the hope that I will be saved (Rom. 5:9–10, 1 Cor. 3:12–15). Like the apostle Paul I am working out my salvation in fear and trembling (Phil. 2:12), with hopeful confidence in the promises of Christ (Rom. 5:2, 2 Tim. 2:11–13)."

Accepting Jesus is not a deed, it is a decision.

The decision to accept Jesus is necessary to gain entrance into heaven.

That action is more important than anything. Accepting Jesus though isn't just it. You have to be devote in your faith, you have to follow the comandments and follow them to the best of your ability, but here is the coolest part, even if you do slip up, God will forgive and forget if you sincerely ask him.

You do need to come to have a personal relationship with Jesus. You really need to know the living Jesus one on one before you can pass onward.

Hi! Jesus asked of only two things to enter the Kingdom of heaven, Honor the Father(God) and honor all fellow human beings. He believed if you treated others as you want to be treated no vices or violence would prevail. Simple. It covers all the 10 commandments in one sentence.

"Jesus said...No man can come to Me, except the Father (God) which has sent Me, draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that has heard, and has learned of the Father (God) comes to Me. Not that any man has seen the Father (God), save He which is of God, He has seen the Father. I say to you, He that believes on Me has everlasting life. I am that bread of life." John 6:43-48

"It is the Spirit that quickens (makes alive); the flesh profits nothing: the words that I speak to you, they are spirit, and they are life. But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that didn't believe, and who should betray Him. And He said, Therefore I said to you, that no man can come to Me, except it were given to him of My Father (God)." John 6:63-65

Also, read the account of one of the thieves on the cross, in Luke 23: 39-43, where Jesus tells him "I say to you, to day you will be with Me in paradise". The thief didn't have time to get baptised, go to church, recite endless prayers & memory verses, or be part of a religious movement or feeling. All he did was believe, which is more than just acknowledging that something is true. It's about embracing it all, not just the parts you like, or that make sense.

So, in answer to your question, you don't accept Jesus. The Holy Spirit (the third person of the Trinity) draws you close and opens your eyes to the truth. Then, it's up to you with what you do with that truth...embrace all of it, or reject it. If the Holy Spirit doesn't do His work, you CAN'T acknowledge anything. Salvation is a gift, not a work. A work is something you do AFTER you are His, and something you do because it's who you are, not about gaining brownie points with The Big Guy. Your work becomes labors of love, done because you love the Lord and desire to serve Him in every way. Are you a mom or dad? Do you do things for your kids 'cause you love them, or because you want to make them love you more? There's nothing you can do to make God love you more. He already loves you more than anyone else can. The things you do for Him comes from loving Him for Who He is, and what He's done for you out of that love.

"But God, Who is rich in mercy, for His great love wherewith He loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, has quickened (made alive) us together with Christ, (by grace you are saved;) And has raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus; That in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. For by grace you are saved through faith: and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to good works, which God has before ordained that we should walk in them." Ephesians 2:4-10 <*)))><

Welp, that's definitely a deed, otherwise known as a "work". And Christianity teaches that you do not get into heaven by works.

Which leaves them in a rather sticky position, I'd say. Interesting question, I never thought of it like that before.

getting saved takes a 2nd by way of saying you have self belief that Jesus is the son of God and your Savior. It takes an entire life in which you need to stay it, forgive different, etc. And specific, you are able to lose salvation, which become defined in Affabel. between the characters, Faint coronary heart, did no longer forgive somebody and become bitter all her existence. by way of fact she chosen to no longer forgive, she in turn become no longer forgiven.
