sump pumps and older oil cooled submersible pump motors have 3gs refrigeration oil in them...you can get this at any pump repair shop or refrigeration suppliers such as johnstone supply or ww grainger..be sure that you do not fill it full as it needs room to expand as it get hot...about 3/4 full will do

IF it is a submersible well pump you may want to get professional help with the well. MANY oil filled submersible motors had PCBs in the oil. Especially if it is a "two wire" motor. If the oil leaked out of the motor while in the well you very well could be drinking PCBs without knowing it. Professional well service techs that were practicing in the 80s and early 90s should be aware of this problem as there was much written about this subject.
I suggest that you use nothing in a well that isn't NSF approved.

I assume you are talking about a submersible well pump or sump pump, pumping water ?
I think these units have no provision to be oiled by the user. Bearings etc. are likley prelubed sealed units.

If you mean a water pump they do not take any oil they are a sealed unit. If they had an oil port then it would stand to reason that you would get oil in your water

Submersible pumps are a sealed unit any lubrication should be done by a certified repairman for the manufacturer.
