Any ideas for a 'cheap' wedding rehearsal dinner? Center pieces to dinner itself.?

This will be in November. Thanks.

P.S. I wasn't sure where to post this.

Depending on where you live, you can throw a thanksgiving rehearsal? Serve traditional thanksgiving fare since it's cheap by the serving, including turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, gravy, and whatever else you and yours eat on Thanksgiving. Collect fallen leaves in red, yellow, and orange in the weeks leading up to it, and scatter them on all the tables. Then take the extras and buy those bags of sticks from your local craft store, and make a fun centerpiece out of it. You can have hot apple cider as the signature drink, which is only a couple bucks per gallon. Then serve apple or pumpkin pie for desert. Most of the food is super cheap if you or family make it. As a fun game, have friends and family sign the leaves you've collected with metallic pens, and then make an overlapped collage out of it when you're done. You can hot glue them on posterboard and frame it with a nice wood frame, and it will be beautiful in your home for years.

You could have a get together at someone's home. Maybe one of your parents houses, and do a pot luck type of dinner. We had a cookout rehearsal dinner, and everyone brough something. It was great because it was more intimate than having it at a restaurant, and it was more enjoyable for the kids.

If you want a cheap rehearsal dinner I suggest skipping the centerpieces.

How about skipping decorations, just more things you have to figure out what do with after everything is done anyway. And for dinner see if there is a place nearby that does trays of lasagna. This is what we are doing and it will be less then $100 for Lasagna, breadsticks, and salad.

do candles as center pieces they are cheap you should be able to find some at walmart. get the nice fat tall ones or some tea lights and wrap the metal in ribbon and put a few on each table with some rose petals around them. ask around some floral shops with give you the petals for cheap or free.

McDonald's always has a nice party room. They give you choice of hamburger, cheeseburger, or chicken nuggets, and of course you get fries with those and choice of beverage. The party room is always clean, they give you coloring books, and some have either a play area or train to sit on. If you are lucky Ronald McDonald will pay you a visit. They also can give you the happy meal toys as favors. It is a bit more classy than Chuckie Cheese.

grill out in the back yard or park with burgers, hot dogs ect, have a bon fire. How fancy and traditional is your wedding, who needs centerpieces, no one cares, ditch em

whatever you use to decorate for the rehearsal table wise, make sure you can also use it in your wedding.
