    Tuna fish casserole

    ! large can of tuna

    I can of Mushroom soup

    ! can early peas

I large bag of potato chips

mix the cans of tuna, mushroom soup, and early peas together add 3/4 of the bag of chips into the mix and then pour into a casserole pan. Level it all out, then take the rest of the chips and crush it to small pieces spread it out over the top of the casserole. feeds 4 persons

pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees bake in oven for about an hour. As we all know not all ovens are the same so once you see that the casserole is bubbling in the middle it is ready.

By far and large this isn't the prettiest dish, but on a cold winter day, it is better than hot chocolate, it will warm you through and through. Preparation time is almost nothing so the only time that you have involved is the bake time.

even if you don't like this try it anyways as it is wonderful stuff, I am sure that this isn't a original recipe but I have never seen it written down anywhere and I learned it from my mother.

  • I have one that I love!

Chinese chicken salad (you can do it without chicken too)

    Ingredients:

cabbage (I use green but it really doesn't matter) 1-1 1/2 cups

    Carrots about 2 big ones

    Cilantro 1/4 cup

    Green onions 1/4 cup

lemon juic (I use half a lemon)

    salt to taste

asian sesame salad dressing (I use the Lite Ken's Steak House because it is delicious) about 1/2 cup or as much as you like!

    Method:

    Cut cabbage into small strips

    grate carrots

    chop green onions

    add cilantro

Now mix all together (don't forget the chicken if you are using it)

Add lemon juice and salt. Then mix all together with asian dressing. Leave it in the fridge for 30 min to an hour and then it is ready to serve. Delicious!

I dont how to call it but let's say mini hamburger with capsicum

Get some small (the smaller the better) capsicum

    a packet of minced meat

    big onion - chopped (optional)

    corn flour

    Oil to fry (NOT DEEP-FRY)

    Ketcup

    How to :

    # cut capsicum in to half or in 3 or 3 pieces

    # mixed the minced meat with chopped onion and some

corn flour, so that the meat would stick to the capsicum

during frying time. (Make sure the meat is not to thick

otherwise it would take time to get the meat cook.)

Note : You need to fry the capsicum side first till is slightly soften then turn to the meat side. Wait till the meat is cooked, you can serve it with Ketchup sauce.

Simple and balance meal. Easy to take and is a finger food too!

Source(s): self invent and my whole family love it!

1 big pot for filling all the goodies

A bottle of luck to go along with the pot

    Viola! There's our potluck :-)

    ***

    Anyway, on a more serious note, here's a personal favorite... a simple tom yum (Thai) soup;

    Lemongrass (approx. 3 stalks, sliced)

Onions + Garlic (approx. 3-5 bulbs of onions, 2 cloves of garlic, sliced/smashed)

    Kaffir Lime leaves (2-3 leaves)

Lime/Tamarind (either one, measure with taste)

    Galangal (about 2-3 slices, smashed)

    Salt (measure with taste)

    Pepper (measure with taste)

    Celery (about 3 stalks)

    Chili (measure with taste)

    Mushrooms (personal choice)

    Cabbage (personal choice)

Fish sauce/soy sauce (about 5-6 tablespoons/measure with taste)

Addition of your favorite meat/seafood to go along with the soup.

    Preparation:

Boil water, along with the rest of the ingredients (except celery)... leave to boil for about 15-20 minutes.

Add meat/seafood and let boil for another 10 minutes.

Slice celery and place into bowl... and pour/serve soup. Best served while hot.

Most common seafood used for Tom Yum would be prawns (big), cuttlefish/squid, freshwater fish, etc. You may use chicken or beef too.

    Good luck and have fun!
