Yes they do. People are quick to complain if they are stuck in a traffic queue yet usually said traffic queue is because somebody parked outside a paper shop on the main road rather than walk from round the corner because they are too lazy. Regarding the person who answered about clamping, the car is only clamped until it is towed away they are not clamped and left there for days on end. Regarding attacks on parking attendants they are unacceptable, people who get tickets would not get tickets if they parked correctly so why is it the attendants fault?

I think they do an ok job. But if I saw one dieing in the road I wouldn't go help them that much is true. I think the problem is with the parking issue not the attendants out on the road. I would not hold back from abusing them. I know it would be completely wrong but hey some people deserve s..t if they don't like it get another job and take the ticket off my car. But I wouldn't say they do a bad job.

It is a municipal employment position at my location, union,

with a living wage with benefits. I've not heard of any crime

directed at the staff apart from comments from smokers who

were just told to take their stinky habits outside parking area.

Because I 'cycle the same attendents aren't someone I'd personally have any use for.

Worked on a 5-star hotel as a parking attendant. We were always taught to be professional as we are the first in contact and last with the hotel guests. Never been attacked nor robbed. Again, always taught, if someone attacks or robs, give in, do not fight back, not worth it. Service with a smile. I had lots of tip$. "have a good evening" "how was your stay?" "drive safely" " your driver side headlight is out"...."goodbye, come again" "click it or ticket!"

If a car is an obstruction it should be towed away. What is the point of clamping a car so it has to stay where it shouldn't be?

People end up driving round the block 3 times while someone is in a shop rather than parking so how is this helping conjestion?

    So my answer is NO.

No. They do a crap job. Alot of areas arn't even patrolled. Parking where I live is terrible, intersection and double parking is rife. It's total shite, all because people are bloody lazy to walk a block. Anyone who attacks a parking officer, should be charged with assulting a police officer.

I park in a private lot, and some attendents drive like the are at the Indianapolis speedway. I wouldn't trust them driving my car. Fortunately for me, my lost allows self-park for contract parkers.

in their own eyes they do, after all,10% of any fines they generate go to them as a bonus, not a bad little number is it, the more motorists you ticket, the more bonus you get.
