What is the best advice you have ever been given?

The wisest one I have been given was my tennis coach's"Try to get better every day, your improvement might be very little but day by day you'll progress".And I realise that that's how things stand in life as well.

Update:

To A.Nik :-)

Of course I'm watching it and checking my mail in the meantime.Vale is third.I hope that he'd pass Stoner and Hayden and finish first.A victory in Portugal would be just right for him and his team.I'm going to continue watching(may be Rossi has got a surprise for me :-)

Update 2:

Uf what am I talking about.I've been watching the repeatition of yesterday's race so far.(I had a tennis practice and I missed it)Sorry A.Nik today I had a bad experience and I still can't come to my senses. But about 250cc I hope that LOrenzo would first>He's got good chances to do so :-)

Wow wonderful tips and advice from everyone. Did we all have the same parents growing up? Well to not copy or duplicate anyone else's answer I would have to say -

All you can do is all you can do but all you can do is enough.

Work hard and with passion at whatever it is that you choose to pursue.

Oh and a personal favourite: Always wear clean underwear. You never know when you might land up in the hospital and they take your clothes off. Yes Mom.

Never be frightened of being wrong.

When someone said that to me once a few years ago I felt like he'd switched a light on inside of me. I feel like I've been a better person for it ever since.

    :o)

  • Best advise I was ever given was NEVER SETTLE....that's all it was but I never have settled I realize now that if I did I would never truly be happy. I always wait for what I really want in life be it jobs, men, furniture........whatever I really want it's worth the wait to me.

A friend of my mother once asked her "Are you still alive, yes you are! Are you healthy, yes you are! Do you have a wonderful family, yes you do! Then there is no reason to feel sad!"

What she wanted to say was that you have to be glad for what you have!

Source(s): By the way, are you watching MotoGP? :) I just watched the 125cc :) great race!

My mom told me many years ago when I was a little fellow,"Never tell a girl you love her if you don't".I never forgot that and have lived accordingly.
