How do you find an toilet seat for an odd shaped but standard sized bowl?
I cannot find a standard toilet seat to fit a Gerber 1.6 gpf - the bowl is very round with a very thin rim 1" or so -- much thinner than normal toilet bowls.
I installed a new standard seat on this toilet. The problem with the normal round/standard seat is that the two feet that usually sit on the rim and prop the seat over the bowl barely reach the edges of the bowl rim. The seat cannot be sat on -- the foot slips inside the bowl.... I'm dare say I have been pinched between the bowl and the seat when it shifts.
Recommendations, anyone? It's a standard size toilet seat (definitely not elongated. I bought one of those today too thinking I could mickey it... that didn't work.)
Thanks in advance.

Since you bought one on Sunday I'm assuming you shopped at one of those big national stores, like L@we's or W@lmart? You may have to call a regular plumbing dealer or more specialized building center to find your seat. Good luck ... there's nothing worse than a rocking throne

I searched through out the internet and could not find.
If I was in your position, I would go the Ace Hardware store, and talk to them, and they should be able to order one for you.
If that does not work, you may have to contact a plumber to get one and install it for you. Hope this is not the final way, because it would be the most expensive.
This is my help from Washington, D.C. USA.

Sounds strange. Although I do not know of anyone else who does this, I do know of a woman who does not sit on the seat because of a fear of contracting disease. She kind of "squats" whenever she must use any public facility. So, it takes all kinds.
