Go to a locksmith. It will be expensive, but not as expensive as replacing the ignition. Once you have the keys go to a hardware store and make 15 copies so you won't have to be paying $100 for a lousy key!!

You can call the dealership, they might possibly be able to get you a new ignition with new keys. Otherwise, you can check out junkyards and see if they have a jeep there with the ignition and keys. Just swap them out... Last option is to try and see if there is a locksmith who can rekey or make a key for it, which if there is it will be expensive.

    For future reference:

Always have at least 2 copies of your car key.

Keep one on your key chain.

Keep another someplace that is not likely to be lost with your keychain. I used to keep one in my wallet. I currently keep one in the house.

How do people "lose" their keys?

I could see maybe forgetting where you put them.

Unless of course you're jogging through the wilderness for a few miles and they fell out of your pocket into a deep ravine, covered with shrubbery, at night, in the snow while you're listening to your I-pod.
