Usually with citizenship the parents/guardians will have to apply and met the requirements. The child will go under them.

Until the child is 18 they can go under the parents.

    For minors:

the child should be a permanent resident

a parent of the child should be a Canadian citizen or in the process of applying for Canadian citizenship

The residence and other requirements do not normally apply to those aged under 18.

You will have to get your own citizenship... it is only when you are born there that citizenship is automatic.
