What if Jesus Christ returned tomorrow..?
And there were two mysterious questions to ask aout
the event:
1) It happened in a very ordinary way; not at all like The
Bible says it will happen.
2) He told you: "My dear friends, I bring tidings of great
sadness. All you that you have read, in the book of my
Father's word, is false.
"Yet, alas, I am even sadder than any of you. For, you
see, this is something which, nay... not even I, Jesus
Christ the Lord, His only begotten Son... am able to
explain."
Just like,my previous question, which I deleted, be-
cause I felt a lot of people missed my point, I'm only
asking out of interest about how you perceive any
sort of event that was not immediately explainable.
(I've never told anyone they're wrong to believe in
God. It's not for me to tell anyone how to live.)
Peace.
And, again: thanks, in advance, for all answers.

Pete,
If that were to happen, I would believe that person to be a false Christ. And, here's why:
Jesus already warned us in advance that false Christs and false prophets would appear, and that they would be so convincing as to deceive even the elect - if that were possible.
Jesus was very clear about the way in which He would return. During my time as a Christian, God has taught me many things. One of the most important lessons is that I can absolutely trust Him - in any and all circumstances. My relationship with God can be likened to a Father/child relationship, except it goes much deeper than that. So, as my Heavenly Father, I trust His word on things.
Maybe this analogy will help. To protect their children from danger, convincing lies, and smooth talkers, a lot of parents will teach their child a password. If a stranger approaches that child and doesn't know the password, the child has no reason to trust him and every reason to believe the dangers his Father warned against. Even if the nice, friendly stranger bearing gifts and candy says in a very sincere and trustworthy manner, "Didn't your Dad tell you? He's decided to change the password. You know how forgetful He is! Your Dad told me the new password is ____. So, it's safe to come with me."
Should the child believe him? Of course not! So, it's the same with me. If some smooth talker shows up, claiming things contrary to what the Holy Spirit has confirmed as truth, then I have absolutely no reason to trust that this person is telling me the truth. God, my Father, already warned me about him.

To be perfectly honest, as a practicing Christian who KNOWS that the above scenario won't happen, I would probably do a lot more things that I previously considered "wrong", simply because there would no longer be any basis for a moral code. Not to say we wouldn't NEED one, just that there would no longer be a BASIS for one. Hammurabi, I suppose, but what was his based on? Common sense? If enough people change their minds on what is "good" and "bad", it won't matter and morals WILL be "legislated" by popular opinion even more than some people think Dubya is trying to do today.
Thanks for a decent question -- glad to have an imagination!

Lol that was kinda funny...in a wierd blasphemous kinda way...well if that were true then my whole belief system would be crushed and I would probably be asking you some questions.Lol but thankfully God is always faithful ( and not so wierdly random) and He'll do what He says so that won't happen. so I'm good :) Interesting question. Why'd you ask it?

another mysterious question ...
3. if Jesus manifested as a woman would his followers still consider him "God" and continue to love and obey him or is his divinity dependent on the shape/gender of the body in which he decides to manifest?
i think most Christians have a set of expectations which Jesus is required to meet if they are the believe it's really him. Jesus is not allowed to appear or behave other than how his believers believe he should. some even expect Jesus to transport them physically into the sky while his angels sing a gloria chorus.

Mysterious?
The only thing mysterious is how your able to babble on about such crazy nonsense things and not seek the truth.
