A good artist knows what he is worth

and will charge accordingly. The price

that is set, is for artistic talent, time &

equipment. A tip is not usually expected,

but is much appreciated. It is your way

of saying how very much you acknowledge

the talent and quality of the work you just received.

omg give him at least 50 or a hundred for 12 hours of work! mine was only 2 hours or hour half so i gave him an extra 8

I have 2 tattoo's and I gave them a 1/3 of what my actual total was. So one guy I gave $50. and another one I gave $80.

    You do the math.....

Tattooists make a fairly good living as it is, and at $125.00 an hour, we don't really expect you to pay a percentge-based tip. If somebody hands me a twenty, after a three hundred dollar piece, I'm happy.

I think that if he going to be working that long on one tattoo it should be alot,20-40 dollars,it takes alot of patience and concentration to work that long.

    20%

  • i would say 100 dollars. twelve hours is along time. And depending on whether you have your own design, and if its twekve hours strait, then yep, id go with the c note. happy tatooing

    18% of the total cost

20% of the cost of the tat for starts, less if its crap, more if you are happy with it. then show the artist how happy you really are by giving them repeat bussines.
